| Photos - above and below The Owner disliked the desk area so both her and the designer went to work on a new design (keep in mind that the base cabinet to the left was left alone unmodified except for refacing). Below right - the Owner drew up her own modifications to our designer's concept and ... the result ... a combination Hutch, Buffet, hidden desk. The desk is concealed behind pocket doors. The desk cubbies were also made to be removable in case the function would change over time. The top of the Hutch became a beautiful Display Cabinet. |

| The Owner had always disliked the vertical wood piece that restricted access to the cabinet To add utility, we removed the vertical piece. However, our installer had a concern about the weight of of the Granite Countertop - so rather than canceling the idea - we reinforced the lateral frame with 1/4" steel |

| The Owner liked the original Raised Panel Ends so new ends were installed. However, to save money and without sacrificing the aesthetics - the underside of the island was skinned with plywood, then decca panels were applied and fluted columns with Carved Corbels. Though it actually saved money, it turned out to be a more desirable option than Raised Panels. | |

| The Owner participated with our designer with an interactive approach where the Owner could watch on a screen while the conceptual sketch of the cabinets took place before her eyes on a CAD program. | |
